Finally after about a day and a half, my site is back up. The server my site is hosted on was targeted in a DDoS attack (denial of service attack) for unknown reasons, but I was not the only one affected as often there are multiple websites hosted on the same server. Thanks for your patience everyone as the hosting provider had to wrangle things under control again!
