I will be teaching my three week KIDS COMIC WORKSHOP series at Apotheosis for ages 6-7, 8-11, and 12+, teaching them the techniques needed to create their own comics! Each course is designed to segue into the next level, giving them more skills as they get older and advance in their comic creating ability.
JUNIOR KIDS COMIC WORKSHOP (AGES 6-7)
TIME: 3:30-4:30pm each week for three weeks
COST: $30 PER CHILD, ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED
This course covers the basics of comic creation, including facial expressions, speech bubbles, character design, one panel comics and their very own mini comic book!
BEGINNER KIDS COMIC WORKSHOP* (AGES 8-11)
TIME: 4:30-5:30pm each week for three weeks
COST: $30 PER CHILD, ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED
This course teaches the basics of cartooning and comic strips, including character design, speech bubbles, motion lines, panel layout, writing stories, and drawing a single and three panel comic, plus fun activities!
ADVANCED KIDS COMIC WORKSHOP* (AGES 12+)
TIME: 5:30-6:30pm each week for three weeks
COST: $40 PER CHILD, ALL MATERIALS INCLUDED
This Advanced Comic Workshop is aimed for older kids and goes even deeper in the comic making process. They will learn in depth character design, script writing, shading, professional level speech bubbles, shot composition, panel layout and flow, thumbnailing, and they get to make a mini comic book as their final project.
