After many near starts spanning at least two years, I finally started working on the FRIK anthology book! This anthology will include all four volumes and will roughly be 106 pages long and perfect bound. (glued not stapled) Remember that volume four was never printed, so this will be the first time that the ending of this saga will be available to people buying this comic!
Up till this point, I was printing each volume individually with tons of bonus content. A couple of years ago it became obvious that I should just combine them into one book as it would help me in terms of inventory and lugging it to conventions, as well as keeping my print costs down. The downside to this is much of the bonus content has to go. The biggest thing to get axed will be the episode sketches that were in the back of the individually printed volumes.

This process is going to be painfully slow, not only because I’m shifting bonus content around or removing it, but also because I’m fixing newbie mistakes I made when I first created this comic. One example that I will be fixing is the text not being center justified in the speech bubbles. I will also do very minor tweaking of artwork here and there.

THAT is the trickier question. I still don’t have enough money to get this printed, and I still have a lot of stock to sell from the individual volumes. The last couple of conventions I’ve been selling all of these at cost so I can make the money back to print this anthology. First, thank you very much! If you already bought all three volumes, when the time comes, please provide me with proof that you purchased them and can tell me where. (a photo of you holding all of them, or a receipt if you bought them online, for example), I will heavily discount this anthology for you because I don’t believe you should have to pay twice for content you already own!
